Either rest it on rock or leave it floating in the water. It will sink into the sand and that's not at all fun. DO NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE park your seamoth on the sand.

Two pots of marble melons will yield 6 to eat, 2 for replanting, and that's more than enough to take you from near-starved/dehydrated to full on both, so you don't need to use a full growbed. You can grow 4 marble melons from seeds in an interior plant pot but only plant 1 mature one: it's weird but roll with it.Slice marble melons so you don't accidentally eat them.Carry as little with you as you can afford, you'll want to pick up a fair few things (lots of plants to sample besides food plants). If you mess up and get damaged, just hop out and repair real quick, they don't re-attack too rapidly. They can't toss their head very far at the last second so you'll keep slipping outside their reach when they angle in for an attack. Tip if you see a ghost leviathan (works on reapers too): strafe left-right/up-down and change every 3-4 seconds. You could travel near the surface, which is really safe, but you're missing an opportunity to see what's out there and that'll come in handy later. If you travel near the bottom (which you probably should just so you get your bearings of what's out there so you can use the island beacon as a waypoint) you might see a warper or two but it's extremely unlikely that they'd be able to warp you while you're tooling along, and if they do just swim forward+up for a few seconds, then locate your seamoth and the warper and hop in and strafe left or right real quick in case they've tossed another warp at you. If you travel in a straight line, it's likely that the most dangerous thing you'll run into is a boneshark, and they aren't dangerous so much as annoyingly persistent. The most dangerous thing you'll encounter on the way there depends on what route you take to get there. Annoying but not dangerous or especially mindful of personal space.
